On my way to work the day of our Halloween Celebration, I decided to stop at
Wegmans. was going to buy atreat for my four year olds. To my surprise they were already putting up Christmas decorations. They skipped over All Saint's, Day of the Dead, Veterans's Day, Diwalli, Hannuka, Thanksgiving and went straight to Christmas! There were no spooky things to be found. Well, Halloween has come and gone, next at work we're onto Thanksgiving. The assignment was what are you thankful for make a poster. This is not something most people do. Face it, we don't usually walk around thinking, i'm thankful for this or that. But once I began I really got into it. So here goes. i'm thankful for my dogs, they're pains in the but, especially BJ but i love them. i'm thankful for Gianna, she's the love of my life. She's become alot of company, i really enjoy going shopping with her. We now have nice conversations it's nice to have a female perspective, i'm thankful for her. I'm thankful for my sister and her husband. When push comes to shove i can always count on them. My brother in law is solid, he's beenn around for some pretty hard times, i thank God for him. There have been some wonderful people in my life, Karen, Gene, Maria, Emilio, Darcie, Marilyn, Linda, Diane-i've been blessed with some good friends. I feel fortunate to have my job, i'm able to use my knowledge in child development and work with kids: there are alot of unemployed teachers out there. alssi, i'm lucky to have my faith. When things are real bad, it's good to have afith to fall back on. My faith enabled me to endure my parents deaths; it got me to Italy and helped me reestablish myself when we moved to NJ. In the end I have to be thankful for Felix; he's made most of this possible. My mother used to say Thanksgiving was an important holiday- her favorite.
Very nice thoughts....and well-expressed!
